Papers

All papers are pre-circulated and read in advance, with ample time set aside for full-plenary discussion of each paper. The deadline for submitting your paper is May 22, with PDF format preferred. Target length is 15 to 25 pages, though papers must be no longer than 12,000 words. To honor the intensive workshop format, it is important that all papers are ready at that time.

Format

The conference is organized as a series of one-hour, single-paper sessions attended by all participants. Ample time will be set aside for intellectual exchange between presenters and attendees, as all participants are expected to read pre-circulated papers in advance.

Please assume that all participants have read your paper. Presenters should take around 5 and 8 minutes to describe the paper’s background and relationship to other work and/or broader projects. Many presenters find it useful to conclude with a few questions for discussion, including requests for feedback on specific elements of the paper. Most speakers talk informally from notes, although Powerpoint facilities are available upon request. After the brief remarks, the balance of the 50-minute session will be devoted to a discussion between you and the other participants.

Registration

Please register for the conference, which includes a conference fee.
